Do Dham - Kedarnath and Badrinath Temple

Hindu religion puts a lot of emphasis on pilgrimage for the purity of soul and finding the inner self. According the numerous religious books and saying of the sages there are a lot of routes and places that needs to be traveled to. Every other route and destination has a purpose, some for finding the inner self, some to donate part of wealth and other to ask for a wish. Kedarnath and Badrinath temple are included in Chardham Yatra package.




Kedarnath Dham: located at the altitude of 3584m above the sea level kedarnath is situated near the Mandakini river. This is one of the most difficult temple to be reached due to the difficult terrain and bad weather conditions. There is also shortage of oygen near the temple sue to the elevation. Across the temple there are views of snow capped Greater Himalayas and various peaks.considered to be one the jotirlings and is the most important of the Panch Kedar temple that are present in the state of Uttarakhand.

Badrinath Dham: situated on the bank of Alaknanda River ,in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Badrinath is a major attraction. A meter tall statue of Lord Vishnu is called as the Badrivishal. This statue is made up of black "Saligram" stone, which is known to be one of the eight self-manifested statues of Vishnu in a meditative posture. According to the mythological facts, lord Vishnu meditated for 1000 years for the welfare of mankind.

Visit to both Kedarnath and Badrinath dham will help you in learning and earning spirituality and attain redemption at the holy valleys of 'The Himalayas'.

  1. The Char Dham of the Garhwal Himalayas in Uttarakhand represents all three major Hindu sects and consists of one Vaishnava site (Badrinath) joined by one Shiva site (Kedarnath) and two Shakti sites (Gangotri and Yamunotri).
